Yipee, I got a new monitor
#1
The Monoprice 30" I got a few weeks back was defective so I have been looking for something else. I didn't want another Monoprice 30" because I discovered it wasn't a very good fit for my intended use (color gamut, menu controls).

I got really good deal on a new "distressed box" HP Omen 32". This thing is gorgeous and gigantic! It is so big I had to rearrange my desk so I could push it back to get it a little farther away. LED backlight, 2560x1440 resolution, 1 DisplayPort and 2 HDMI inputs.

I had to turn the brightness way down. Amazingly, at the current brightness it only draws about 20 watts, compared to the 70 watts of the Dell 2408WFP I was upgrading from.

It doesn't have a ton of features (no Picture-in-Picture or PbP), a height-adjustable stand or every input known to man but it does have enough menu controls and adjustability I think. The stand is solid and the picture is absolutely beautiful!
