Tom Arnold has a new friend
#11
Most commentators are saying that Cohen is furiously* sending signals to Trump to 1) pay his legal bills and/or 2) give him a get-out-of-jail-free pardon, or else.

*"Furiously" in both senses of the word.

Watching TV in the 80s with your friend from the future...

Turning on Rosanne...

friend says, 'funny story... This show has a GOOD long run, but is cancelled in the late 90s. But after Trump is elected-'

'er, DONALD Trump?'

'yeah, after he's elected - and he's crazy, y'know - not a liberal anymore - he's a nutso right winger populist. Anyway, Rosanne is restarted in 2018 and this time she's one of the crazy nusto followers of Trump - it's amazing - most popular show on TV. But it's cancelled when she gets all nazi on the internet-'

'the what'

'nevermind... but later Trump has this crazy lawyer that takes care of the hookers Donald screws and all kinds of other shenannigans, and when the info goes public, Trump throws the lawyer under the bus. The lawyer then hooks up with Tom Arnold and they do a tell all TV show finding dirt on Trump that becomes the most popular program in the history of TV.'

'You expect me to believe THAT??'

Getting annoyed with the friend from the future, he's no longer interested in watching Rosanne... Turns on the VCR and inserts Predator.

'You'll never guess which two of these beefcakes becomes governors of California and Minnesota.'

'SHUT THE FUCK UP!!'

Isn't Tom Arnold somehow connected with purported videos of Trump harassing women on The Apprentice? (Not Google-worthy.)

Click the story link. Arnold is currently working on a TV show called something like "in search of Trump's lost tapes" (...think Access Hollywood).

I don't know that Cohen actually has tapes, but he knows where all the bodies are buried.

I did read that, but I still don't see why Cohen would need Arnold, is it like nobody else would be willing to broadcast what Cohen might want to release, and only Tom Arnold is willing to do it? This seems more like PR for his show.
Agreed. It isn't as if Michael Cohen couldn't take his pick and name his price with any number of respected news agencies if he felt like spilling some dirt so why go with, of all people, Tom Arnold, a third-rate stand-up comedian best remembered for riding Roseanne Barr to a modicum of fame twenty years ago who has, to the best of my knowledge, no background whatsoever in investigative journalism?

Appreciate @TomArnold kind words about me as a great father, husband and friend. This was a chance, public encounter in the hotel lobby where he asked for a selfie. Not spending the weekend together, did not discuss being on his show nor did we discuss @POTUS. #done #ridiculous
