USPS: USPS Currently Awaiting Package
ETA was 08/30/2018

Another package shipped to a different address has ETA 09/03/2018. how come in the age or artificial intelligence UPS cannot figure out this is a holiday?

UPS Mail Innovations sucks big time. If your local USPS location is anything like the one near my office, you'll be lucky if you get the package sometime next week.

I ordered some cholesterol supplements via Amazon Prime yesterday, and they were spec'ed for delivery tomorrow, but they showed up via UPS earlier today.
Seems like all shipping these days is a crapshoot.

UPS Mail Innovations® Expedited is an International service, the "expedited" is handled/expedited by a third party rather than the local post office when it is out of the USA.
Or at least that's how I understand it works.

Update: now UPS says

09/01/2018 7:57 A.M. Received by the post office. It's been sitting there for at least 2 days between UPS and USPS.

USPS still says Currently Awaiting Package

... and guess what? package was delivered today. The USPS still says "Currently Awaiting Package"
