So I've been using an iphone 5s from tracfone for a couple years, and lately it is using up battery time too quickly and no longer responds to the fingerprint ID. I think it's time for a new phone. Tracfone has an iphone 7 with 32 gig for 449 or a 6s with 32 gig for 399.
I'm okay with Tracfone, serves my meager mobile phone purposes. So does anyone have an opinion on which of those phones would be the better one to buy? or maybe you know of another deal somewhere which would be better than either of these. I can bring another phone to Tracfone and get their service even tho they didn't sell it themselves.

The 7 is faster and doesn't have an embarrassing history of battery problems.

....depends is money an issue.....???
....looks like you only use it minimally, if so, get the cheapest option.....SE is probably the best but if you can get any of the 6S, try as they are 'cheaper' now than 7 or 8 and remember neither the 7 or 8 have headphone jacks [ in case you need to use them ]......

But the 7 comes with an Apple lightning to Headphone jack dongle. I just leave it attached to my in-ear buds, no problem.

Late to the party, but...
The 7 is still sold, making it more future-proof with regards to iOS updates.
It looks like the Apple Lightning to headphone jack dongle is no longer included, however.
