It's an mp4 that shows up just fine in One Drive under Windows 10.
Why doesn't something appear in my Microsoft One Drive app on my iPad?

What are you using for file management? Apple doesn't want to make it easy to penetrate their electrified walled garden.

I've warned most of my Mac clients off of using OneDrive for anything but basic MS Office file-type sync. The problem is that there are way too many things that can trip it up and prevent items from syncing.
For example, there's a limit on file paths that prevents items from syncing when they're nested about 7-8 folders deep. Allegedly, there's a 400 character limit in the path, but 200-250 characters is more than enough to mess it up in my experience. And items with names that have perfectly legal characters for Mac and Windows servers can mess up OneDrive. A question mark or a vertical bar or a string of characters like AUX, NUL, COM1,LPT1 or similar combinations can prevent a file from syncing, or it will sync but not appear in the OneDrive app. Sometimes you can bring these items up in a search from within the app. And items of various file types can fail to sync for obscure reasons that can take days of troubleshooting to isolate and fix. So, although they've recently screwed "free" users out of much of the utility they previously enjoyed, services like Dropbox or Box or even Google Drive are still way better than OneDrive if you want to have any confidence that your stuff will sync. If you're still interested in troubleshooting, work through this document: https://support.office.com/en-us/article...39e07630fa

Do you have a third party utility/interface for drag-n-drop file management on the iPad? Doc mentions issues with OneDrive I didn't know exist even though I have been using M$ file management for almost 30 years. I should probably start using an iPad just so that I have some experience with the 'preferred' OS when it inevitably takes over the Mac (or whatever Apple 'computers' are called in 10 years).

If you move something in to One Drive , it should automatically sync with the One Drive app. |
