After upgrading to Mojave, I find that neither of my two external DVD player/readers will work now.
Each one spits the disk right back out.
I tried resetting PRAM. No help.
Any ideas? Experiences?
This is on a 13 inch 2015 MBP.
One of the drives is an OWC Value Line Super Slim USB 2.0.

Try not plugging them in until after the OS has booted up.
External drives, not working; Logitech mice not working; external screens attached to MacBook Pros having a magenta hue (have you seen the workaround for that one? Goodness gracious me!) -- it just doesn't work.

Now that I have an MBP with Mojave, I have to go back to a 2006 PC laptop to read a disc.

{A) - Going to guess this is a MacBookPro12,1 w/ Retina display.
- Do both the USB 3.0 ports work with other USB 2 devices?
- Are you using a known to be good USB cable?
If answer to both is YES; try S. Pupp's suggestion of " Try not plugging them in until after the OS has booted up."
{B} - Wild-A$$ Guess #2:
After upgrading to Mojave...
Did you use Migration Assistant? If so, a bad kext or profile file may have gotten copied over
and causing a conflict.
