EPA dropped salmon protection after Trump met with Alaska governor

Basic, investigative journalism

Combing through records of travel itineraries, piecing together a timeline of events, and a few key interviews (for those who would talk), CNN has learned that Trump has told the EPA to back off from blocking a controversial mining project held up for years due to concerns over what it would do to land, fisheries, smaller businesses, and the way of life for some.

No one involved is talking about what they did. The claim is that the previous "veto" rule used by Obama's (and Bush's ... ) EPA didn't follow the proper procedure for a project permit ... which is now sailing through without any scientific input.

... aaaaand that's proly gonna result in a lawsuit as a violation of the Clean Air Act, according to Christine Whitman.
