Wow!

This is kinda' cool, almost reminds me of home. 'cept there aint no Jimmy where I come from; lotta poo, no Jimmy

Jimmy from Georgia, huh? Raises questions about those substandard, leaky boxes he nailed. Wait wasen't it Clinton that nailed the boxes and Carter that boxed the nails or something like that.

Both got Bushwacked, now I remember.

Where is "Angeles"? I've never heard of any of those bars. Where are they located?

I go to bars and clubs a lot, and they all check ID, and they all turn away underaged. For this reason some clubs offer "all ages" nights, especially with bands that have younger followings.

It is possible to get a very good fake ID, and it is possible to fool bouncers, but it's not as common as you make it out to be. Most kids are afraid to go into the areas where one can get a good fake ID.

If you let in an underage kid in CA, it's $2500 first offense. It's 100x harder to get in a bar underaged in CA then when I wass a kid.

I wondered the same thing, but decided to take a different tack with my response. Thanks for making another good point.

"Raging Bull" had a great scene where Jake La Motta let a 14-y-o stay at the bar after she gave him a tongue dip. Later in the sequence, he gets visited by the law who shows him a before/after pic of the kid …

"You look at that and tell me she looks like a 14 y.o."

But that bar was in Florida, not L.A. …

One wonders about the bars Rusty chooses to patronize.

McMurphy: "She was fifteen years old, going on thirty-five, Doc, and she told me she was eighteen, she was very willing, I practically had to take to sewing my pants shut. Between you and me, uh, she might have been fifteen, but when you get that little red beaver right up there in front of you, I don't think it's crazy at all and I don't think you do either. No man alive could resist that, and that's why I got into jail to begin with. And now they're telling me I'm crazy over here because I don't sit there like a goddamn vegetable. Don't make a bit of sense to me. If that's what's being crazy is, then I'm senseless, out of it, gone-down-the-road, wacko. But no more, no less, that's it."
