At the Apple Store in Christiana Mall. It is the Core Duo version. Only one they had. But they three white ones starting at $750

Went over to my local Fry's (Downers Grove, IL) yesterday to do a deal. The service level in the Mac department was on par with the close by CompUSA that has closed (read "none").

They had one of the MacBook 2.0 Black 512/80 with a red tag and a $999 price.

I tracked down one of the used car saleman types to find out how I go about getting one. He came back about 10 minutes later (at least he came back!) and said it was a demo unit and it is missing the power adapter, which he would be able to replace for $79.

$999 seems like a good deal. $1078 does not. I walked.

I guess I keep watching.
