Need help with printing EPS graphics in Indesign CS2
#1
I've just recently made the switch to InDesign CS2 from PageMaker and am running into issues with EPS graphics not printing on my Brother HL-1850 laser printer. (It has PostScript Level 3 emulation.)

Whenever I try to print documents with EPS graphics in them, I get the dialog box that says that EPS may contain binary data and might not print properly and, sure enough, some of my newsletter graphics that printed fine from PageMaker are not printing in the version I converted to InDesign CS2.

I was able to replace the graphics with PDF versions that work fine but I'd like to understand more about why this occurs.

I've done some research and see where InDesign can be tricky when dealing with EPS graphics. Does anybody have any good sources on the Internet where I can read about this? What I found on the Adobe support pages and the Adobe support forum didn't clear it up for me.

Thanks in advance.

Michael
