Good report on stats for King County. Not so much for the report on the death.

CDC is only testing those who are ill and linked to travel or hospitalized with symptoms that cannot be explained by other diagnosis. Which means the number of cases in the US will always be artificially low.

U.S. health officials need to distribute about 40 times as many test kits. Lack of test kits is why so few people are being tested. On top of that, a large percentage of the first batch of kits they passed out were flawed.

Italy and South Korea have tested huge numbers of people. South Korea has only a 0.5% fatality rate of know infected, mostly because they have tested so many people.

U.S. health officials may have reasons to not distribute enough test kits. Just like U.S. health officials have reasons they cannot talk to the press (without clearance from VP Pence’s group.)

There are legitimate discussions about how many to test. Basically if you are an at risk person assume everyone has it and act accordingly.

That's bad news. The death rate seems to double for every 10 years over 50.
