Is there a way to reverse order pdf pages?
#1
The school has been converting all of its course work to pdf's so the instructors can send files to students over the Internet. I have taken on the task of scanning and preparing the documents. Spent three days last week at the scanner.

Now, I've got all of these files that need to be labeled, split up or combined, and placed in appropriate folders. So far, Preview has been fantastic. My Windows-using colleagues are amazed when I am able to convert a 40+ page master document of tests into individual units.

For some files, the pages were scanned from back to front, instead of front to back. Is there an easy way to reverse the page order for multi-page pdf's? I can always move one page at a time manually, but there must be a better procedure.

I have used this before, a while ago, so hopefully it still works, but it was great - https://www.jamapi.com/products/moonwalk/

EDIT- It's called Moonwalk. I had a post about it before (only 10 years ago!) describing how I used Automator to combine separate files of Even and Odd pages that I wanted to be in the same PDF file, and then Moonwalk to get the correct order:

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, Moonwalk has not been updated.

The search continues...

Do you by chance have access to Adobe Acrobat on a PC? If so, try this

- Click Print

- In the dialogue box that opens there is a 'pages to print' section (showing all, current page, pages and a drop down for 'More Options' - click the more options drop down

- There is now a tick box for 'reverse pages' - tick the box

- Then choose Adobe PDF as your printer and when you click Print, it will prompt you for the location to save the file.

I tried it on my work PC with Adobe Acrobat installed and it worked. I tried it on my Mac with Adobe Reader and tried to use the PDF dropdown native to Mac, but Reader complained it wasn't availble.

Are these super sensitive materials? There's a German online converter that purports not to scan file contents, only log sizes, file formats, and filenames. I wouldn't use it for my health records, but for a poorly scanned book or article, sure!

Thanks, rjmacs (others), that web site seems to work.

I was able to find the print in Reverse Pages option in my version of Acrobat, but I could not Save the file, only print.
