Max never could figure out how to spell "y'all" and he lived in Texas.

If you can't figure out the innards, take it Ace Hardware. I bet they can. (I would waste my time with Home Depot.)

Two Phillips head screws. BUT.. if you want to avoid it loosening next time, put a dab of nail polish at the end of each screw. It will dry and act as a thread locker.

If you DO replace the latch or the strike, toothpicks dabbed with wood glue in the screw holes will help strengthen the assembly.

But remember to leave the toothpicks in the screw hole.
