I saw them in the summer of 1972. This is my favorite version of the Eagles, but I have heard these songs so much, I can't really enjoy them anymore.

I was actually watching the “new” Eagles Live at the Forum last night, so it’s really striking to see this concert and compare both. Now they have a small army of supporting musicians. There’s 6 of them up front at times singing with one or two of the backing musicians singing as well. I had seen them twice, on the History tour and the Long Road Out of Eden Tour and had no interest in seeing the new band but after watching last nights have quite a bit of respect for the lineup, even if I don’t really consider them the Eagles. I love Vince Gill and I was really impressed with Deacon Fry. He’s legit and belongs up there. I think he does his father proud.
