Any value to a 45W MagSafe Power Adapter?
#1
I replaced the one that my wife was using for her 2009 white Macbook, so now I have her old one just sitting here. It should be noted that the reason I replaced it was because of a frayed wire at the connector. Interestingly enough, it still works fine. It just looks nasty. The power plug part of it looks great, and I can't see just tossing out with the trash. I even have the box from the new one that I could include if I were to try to eBay it. My question is, is it even worth the effort?

I suppose there's always the For Sale and Free Items forum here, but again, if the consensus here is that its worthless, I'm okay with trashing it.

Yes, there is some value. If everything works fine, then patching the frayed area with something like Sugru will keep it working. There are still people looking for replacement Magsafe power adapters for their older MacBooks, and while it may not power and recharge at the same time, it will be enough to power the laptop.
