My sister (BTW who lives next door to me) has somehow turned on two factor and the 14 days have passed. She does NOT need this turned on. Yes I know it is a security measure, etc. Long story--I won't go into details on why she should not have this turned on but she shouldn't based on personal and medical reasons. I am her tech support person and it appears she failed to follow my instructions and demonstration of how not to accept the two factor when updating your OS. She has an iPhone, iPad, and a Mac mini (old one) and a newer laptop. It's driving her nuts, its driving me nuts when I work on her equipment (long story on that one).
Yes I have Googled it and gone to the Apple ID pages to try to turn it off--no option to do so now. Evidently that option goes away after the allowed time. She called Apple support and even he was amazed that the same page she was on on how to turn it off offered no option to do so.
Off course she now has "trusted devices" etc. and the requests should not be a problem now. Well yes and no.
*&$@it, come on Apple, give people a break on this. :banghead:
oapbox:
If I overlooked any method somebody knows about please let me know.
