The RAV is back, but in disguise....RYF?
#1
Seems like Nxpoli is the new (old?) RAVPower, and they're back on the Beezy's.... for cheap!
...was looking for a small (GaN style) two port wall wart for the iThings w/ some oomph,
and stumbled on this 61W unit for $14 in black, or (add $4) for white...

  . . . . .

All they did was put little black stickers over the RAVPower branding on the outside of the otherwise obviously RAVPower box.
Everything inside the white and blue RAVPower box is straight up RAVPower product, no stickers involved.

Comparable with Anker's commensurate offerings....
for 60 - 65W w/ PIQ/PD/PPS + GaN Tech @ $38 thru ~$65....

             ....
Seemed like a heckuva deal, so I bought a spare for after Baby Buzz "borrows" the first one while shopping at his personal Mom & Pop store.
I knew RAV, and some of the other AMZ banishee's were sneaking back under new pseudonyms, but wasn't aware of deals this good....
FYI, same charger, presumably without the little black stickers on the box is on sale for $29 (allegedly down from $39) on RAV's site, but....

they do offer add'l %'s, or possibly $10 off; which means however you slice it, it's cheaper w/ the little black stickers on the box.
RYF? Cool

You need an security guard to prevent shoplifting. Taze him bro!

Let me tell you, when your eyeballs tingle, and your soft contacts get sticky, it's an attention getter. Confusedmiley-shocked003:

Not RAVPower. A cheap Chinese knockoff. Probably run off of stolen molds. Happens all the time.

Sunvalley Group owns/controls RAVPower, HooToo, Sable, TaoTronics, VAVA, and Anjou.

RAVPower's 61w two-port charger is presently on sale for $28.99. More than twice what that knockoff charger is selling for.

Whatever the "stickers" are that you're seeing, at best it's covering up stolen trade-dress.

I wouldn't trust the guts of that thing to be worth a thin dime. Keep a fire extinguisher handy.

Doc-

Stickers on left.... Stickers removed on right

Charger and User Guide with unencumbered RAVPower branding intact inside box.....

Underside of Charger showing your aforementioned Sunvalley Group's ownership/control....

I've been a long-time supporter of Sunvalley's products....
from their electronics to even some personal care items.
I'm not sure what the relationship of AMZ's Nxpoil to Sunvalley is, if any...,
but using all reasonable metrics, this charger product seems legit.

Here's a shot that shows the Charger's bottom pulled from RAV's site.....

Expand image to full size for clearer view of bottom.
I'm stickin' w/ legit...; as noted, RAV's site offers add'l discounts if you play ball w/ 'em, so pricing is kinda random.

Why would they discount their own gear to roughly parts/costs?

Why is the storefront so small with only a tiny subset of RAVPower's line?

I can believe that RAVPower would try to get back in under a new name. (They've already tried this, relisting as just "RAV.")

I just can't believe that this is them selling their own current-generation gear so cheaply.

At best, it's factory-rejects or someone skimming at their factory or docks. They've taken pics right off of the RAVPower website, too. I wonder how long til someone cracks down on it.

As far as the low price goes, if you’ve ever been a seller on Amazon, it makes complete sense, since you’re desperately trying to regain market share (Amazon’s placement algorithms favor among other things total sales and higher feedback).

As CJ says, and I almost mentioned; it might be some sort of concerted ploy to garner a bigger toehold at AMZ, as well as, *wink*, *wink*, maybe a bit of poking the bear back for having been poked by the bear during Beezy's earlier housecleaning. You're right about the small subset, but that kinda fits with the possible "loss-leader" marketing strategy of customer acquisition..... I mean, ya'know, like it's almost impossible NOT to buy at least one of those giant size $5 rotisserie chickens when making a Costco run.

I don't know how often/many peeps on RAV's site get their max 50% off discount code, but I got to 35% off without breaking a sweat, so that takes the charger under $19 direct from RAV. If you do score a 50% off code, that's down to only 50¢ more than the Nxpoil AMZ deal.
