We had a deer fall into our pool once.
I was very glad it found the steps and got out on its own, lol.

I used to be the caretaker at a hot springs, at the edge of a wilderness area; every ten days or so I would spend the night in town and shop, run errands etc. and return in time to open the pool in the morning.

One morning I returned to find a huge bull moose in the pool. It was the fall, during the moose rut.

I made a little noise to see if I could induce him to leave, but he just glared at me, so I backed off and after a while he left of his own accord.

There was a bathtub ring of moose hair around the pool for the rest of the day.

"Wolf's hair"?

I say she had been asking for it, with a name like that...
