Waiting for your iPhone 14 Pro to ship?
#1
I ordered the iPhone 14 pro around October 23rd and the original ship date was October 28. Now that has slipped to November 8th or later.

You-tubing, I came across several videos suggesting that the CCP is enforcing draconian lockdowns which includes the Foxconn factory/dorm complex. Some of the videos suggest the workers looted nearby stores to find food.

Whether this is wholly the case or not, if true, it might, along with unexpected demand for the Pro series over the entry level iPhone 14, explain the new delays.

There are several videos, but this one is the shortest of the bunch;

With that being said, I'm looking forward to the new phone. I ordered the purple case and 256GB of memory. I'm going to gift my current XR--which has been a great phone--to an older neighbor.

The only thing I'm not sure is if I should have moved up the Max....

I took advantage of T-Mo’s $1000 trade in offer earlier this month on my 11 ProMax. It took about a week longer to receive my iPhone 14 ProMax than I was told (and that was shipped to me). The scant store stock was always gone within hours of delivery. I am enjoying the new phone so, just be patient.

Our 12 mini's will meet the 24 month T-Mobile deal in a couple of days. They were offering $800 for 12 mini's when the 14 came out and I'm hoping they'll do the same around Black Friday. I don't want to order one and then trade in the mini's simply because I want to confirm the trade in value when I trade the phones in person. So, I'm going to wait until T-Mobile has the 14 Pro's in stock. Hoping they'll overpay for a trade at that time! I'm perfectly happy to repeat the 24 month deal.

When I went into T-Mo, to trade in Xr on 14 Pro on a Friday early this month, the notices said shipping date was Oct 31 - Nov 15. It showed up just a couple of days later on that Monday afternoon. 14 Pro, Purple/256, though gold and black in 256 were listed as having only a minor delay, and silver was one day less delay than purple.

When I got home after ordering, I checked all colors, and all sizes for both regular and Max 14 Pro's, and there was a wide variety of availability/estimated shipping dates. I'm thinking it's more art than science when it comes to getting your new Apple kit.

IIRC, I received a couple of shipping notices on Saturday, and the Monday delivery date notice on Sunday.
I'd bet on sooner than Nov 8th for yours, rather than later.

Went from Ip12ProMax to iP14Pro - I do not miss the screen size at all, and it's an easier phone to use one-handed.

The only main reason to worry about would be battery life. If it really does result in an issue, then turning off the always-on screen is reported to help with battery life.

How is the (former) Soviet Union affecting the iPhone supply?

That had an additional C, i.e. CCCP.

I assume he's talking about China.
