junk mail filtering rules
#1
getting junk with embedded picts, so "content contains ..." doesn't work to filter.
is there some other method I can use to make a filter within the confines of Mac Mail.?
The addresses change (of course) constantly.

I suppose you already have decided against funneling through gmail - that's the easiest way to go. Unless you are willing to block all email with images.

Un-check "load remote images" in the Mail settings. You'll have the option of loading images on a per-message basis.

The junk filter in Mail is heuristic. (It gets better as you use it.) Send the junk messages to the Junk mailbox by marking them as junk and given a little time the Mail app should learn to mark those of a kind as junk.

Keep your clients' email addresses in your contacts lists to whitelist them. (Make sure that contacts are exempted in the junk filter.)

K. I'll turn off the "load ..."
the others I've done.

I use SpamSieve and have been very happy with the results. https://c-command.com/spamsieve/ I just leave it running on my main computer and all my other devices benefit from what it does.

See what load remote toggle bells the learning curve of Mail a bit.
