Oh, the Humanity! The Great Blizzard of '23 strikes NYC
#1
Looking out my 9am window:
Why there must be almost 2 inches of snow!

NEW YORK
Central Park 1.8 in
Islip 2.7 in
JFK 1.5 in
LaGuardia 2.7 in

Needless to say, the squawkers on radium and teletube are beside themselves with excitement.

And on the other side of the country, we had about 25 inches overnight and another 25-30 forecast for today...it will be a dig out day around here.

Not even NY weather reporters can get hysterical about this event.

There was hysteria here. We might total 7-8” of snow. I was giddy that I was off work and therefore able to use the tractor to remove snow for the very first time. It was fun and only took a half hour(maybe 350’ x 20’ average) - quite a bit better than paying a guy $100 a pop!

undaunted New Yorkers commute to work

(nah, just kidding. It's just lite-slush now)

Haven't seen the first flake yet in west central NC. It'll be a record if we don't at least have a trace of snow.
