....Marriott allows 100,000 points transferred to another person per year.....but you used to have to call customer service and speak with a rep to do it......they finally introduced 'Transfer Tool' so you can do it online now....

Marriott Bonvoy Releases Online Points Transfer Tool

....Gone are the days of waiting on hold listening to awful music to transfer some Marriott points to a friend or family member. Using a new online tool, you can transfer points between Marriott Bonvoy accounts. The new functionality makes transferring points a breeze and should save you time!

Marriott Bonvoy Points Transfers Overview
You can transfer a maximum of 100,000 points per year from your account.
The minimum transfer amount is 1,000 points.
You can receive a maximum of 500,000 points per year.
Both accounts involved in the transfer must be in good standing.
You can only freely transfer points between accounts that have been open for at least 90 days.
When you transfer points to an inactive account, the transaction will go through, but the points will then be canceled!

The only exception to the above concerns accounts open less than 90 days. Accounts less than 30 days aren't eligible to send or receive points. For accounts open longer than 30 days but less than 90 days, you can only initiate and receive transfers as long as some reward activity has been credited to the account — like a stay or any other points earning.

One thing to remember is if your Marriott Bonvoy points are about to expire, initiating a transfer or receiving a points transfer will not count toward resetting your points' validity.
