80GB iPod Video Refurbs - Have they been spotted?
#1
I'm approaching the end of the AppleCare warranty for my 60GB iPod Photo so I'm thinking about eBaying it and picking up a new iPod. The $230 60GB video iPods are tempting but if I'm buying a new iPod I'd like the latest and greatest - have 80GB video iPods been spotted yet? If not, what is taking so long?

I just got a 60 GB Refurbished Video on Monday to replace my 40 GB Photo that I sold. So, chances are on tuesday you'll see 80 GB Video's in the refurbished section. Smile

I was hoping for refurbished 80 GB models as well but figured I got 50% more space for $29 more than what I sold mine for.

Maybe they'll want to clear out the last generation iPods first.

Could also be the reason we don't see second-gen nanos refurbs either.

I would LOVE a refurbished second Generation Nano.

Just after the 80GB came out we bought ones for our two daughters. I promised myself that I would allow myself one when they turned up as a refurb but I have yet to see one. I'm surprised as surely there must be some ready by now so I assume they are holding them back for a good reason.

They are holding back because they have TONS of 30 & 60 GB refurbs and as soon as the 80 GB refurbs come out they will have to lower the 60 to about $199 and the 80 to $229 or something like that.
