After a few lines of rain and thunderstorms came through NYC etc overnight, the smoke has been cleared out and it's downright healthy to go outside.
Hope this lasts.

Same here, went from AQIs in the 140-150 range to the teens. But it comes with a flood watch until Wednesday. Can't win.

Thankfully this year is not like last year for Western Mass, last year we were "Critical water deficit", no out door watering, washing cars, etc. My town actually banned topping off swimming pools.
This year we are in normal range, no drought, still a slight deficit up in the Berkshires, but we are wet in the Pioneer Valley. Actually needing to backwash out some pool water for the second time, i't spilling out the top of the skimmer basket. Dave
Welcome to Dave's BBQ!
