Oh well, I guess there's still nothing better than wired ethernet for the kind
of file transfers I need to do sometimes at home (multiple gigabytes of stuff):

"We couldn't help but feel that Apple's new 802.11n AirPort Extreme base station
is a disappointing introduction to 802.11n. Our actual throughput was just 15-20%
faster than 802.11g and far below 802.11n's promised potential."
and
"Overall, we feel the AirPort Extreme 802.11n base station is a good choice for
new networks but offers only a few compelling reasons (and performance isn't
among them) to upgrade existing 802.11g networks."
