Greetings from the grand opening-Apple Store Kingston UK

Got a free shirt (first 1000). Arrived at 0830 (opening 0900). Probably 200 people in front of me and the place is hopping!

Store workers had 20 minutes of pep talk before opening (lots of clapping) and they ran a victory lap high fiving everyone before opening.

Where is it? In the old Bentall's building? We used to do our main shopping in Kingston as I grew up in Surrey.

I look forward to seeing them. I wonder if a friend was there. He still lives in Surrey and was the person who first introduced me to Macs. I was so impressed I went straight out and bought a brand new Performa 400!!

I live in Suffolk, but sister-in-law lives in Ealing. Stayed at her place over night and drove about 9 miles to the store this morning.
