I'm surprised at where you folks live, as those signs were on every third house near me. There were a variety of messages but they all conveyed the same thing. The blm signs were an outgrowth in a way.

I live in a fairly liberal part of Portland, Oregon and I have seen maybe a maybe three or four of those signs within a few miles from where I live (walking the dog). I have mixed feelings about it because a lot depends on the intentions and other actions of the person putting out the sign. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the people putting out the signs are mostly virtue signaling, but even if that were so, I don't know the background for any one sign. If someone is genuinely hotly active and engaged in the things on the signs, then I don't think that is virtue signaling as much as proudly displaying their commitment.
Incidentally, in my neighborhood BLM signs outnumber those signs by several times. Of course, coopting the other side's thing is always fun: ![]()
