FREE FOR SHIPPING: 2.5 to 3.5" drive adapters
#1
I have 3 of these, I'd prefer to send them all to the same person. 2 of them are 2.5 to 3.5 adapters from old WD Raptor drives, which apparently ran really hot or something, so they wrapped them in these heatsinks that have a built in SATA connectors. These are apparently called "WD Raptor IcePack". Hah. The other adapter, is simply a plastic bracket that fits in the 3.5" space and has screw holes in the right spots to mount a 2.5" drive.

I used the Raptor adapters years ago on a 2007 Mac Pro for SSDs to fit in the 4 drive bays. I don't think I've ever used the plastic bracket one.

Should ship for under $10 total for all 3. PM me to express interest. Thanks!

I used those things for years, but a while ago one of my drives seemed to have died. But before I gave up on it, I checked just to make sure it wasn't the adapter. It WAS the adapter.

Years earlier, I sold a million of those on ebay. Bought the raptors for 4$ea - sold the dead drives minus the adapter for about $2ea and then sold the adapters for $20-25ea. It was the early days of SSD.

they sure are great heat sinks...
