A word of caution. Nieghbor and I just discussing local paper ( California Sacramento Bee 3/2/07) article about CarFax often missing accident history. Google "Carfax sued" and trust accordingly.

Yes...nothing perfect...but I've run almost 30 reports in the last three weeks and have found many cars to run from!

I wish I had access to such a tool years ago!

I still check vehicles out very carefully when I get through the paper screening process. As long as you understand that you still need to check out a car physically (and know what you're looking for), it's a great resource.

My burning up car is featured in Carfax commercials. They keep saying 1999 when it was a 1992 Cressida. Lotsa fun.
