Dual SIM experience ??
#1
A friend is trying to port landline number to eSIM in his iPhone, which has another number on physical SIM. He wants both numbers on same device.
One carrier, an MVNO, told him it could be problematic if both numbers on their network. Curious as to why. CSRs offered no reasons.
Comments, experiences ??

I do not see why. When abroad, my US number and the foreign number are frequently using the same network. Here in the US they are not, so cannot tell for sure.

Port the landline to google voice and avoid monthly fees.

You have to port to a landline to a mobile number (can be pre-paid) before you can port to Google Voice. Not too hard, just 1 extra step and a little extra cost.

I have an iPhone SE 2020. My old landline number was ported to the eSIM by AT&T and I have an physical SIM for a Verizon (actually Spectrum) as well. Been working fine on the iPhone for years.
