Vista is the millstone around his neck that is going to drag him down in the sea of poverty.

I don't believe it. He is the richest man in the World and Google is vulnerable. Bill takes a lot of crp here but he is not a bad person. That's silly stuff. He is going to take care of his kids with 20 million or so but the rest goes to charity. That's a lot.

His philanthropic nature only kicked in after he was married, also it was a great tax dodge! It should have kicked in years earlier when he made all his employees contractors and screwed them out of all their benefits. BGnR

He used to sell about $500 million of Microsoft stock every year to keep his total number of shares fairly constant. I would bet he could write a check for $1 billion without selling any of his Microsoft shares. The Gates Foundation was started as a gigantic tax dodge and he only started giving real money to charities after people like Ted Turner gave him a bad time. Back in the 1980's Microsoft cheated thousands of people and stole all its ideas from other companies. It started with buying a license for DOS for $25,000 and then re-licensing it to IBM for much more.

Actually blame Apple, Billy and friends took public domain BASIC and repackaged it then sold it to Apple. 1986 or so when Apple was almost ready to release Apple MacBasic with a beautiful GUI, and very powerful features. M$ said the would stop licensing the BASIC that was in all of the AppleII ROMs to Apple if they released it. The AppleII was still supporting Apple. BGnR |
