Daylight savings hoo-ha and Macs
#11
For those thinking the update may have snuck in at an earlier update, check your update log. When in software update, there should be two panels, one labeled "Update Software" and the other labeled "Installed Updates". Click on Installed Updates and see if it has been installed.

Having stated the proceeding, I agree with Rob. I think you need Mac OS 10.4.8 installed to get the DST update for Tiger. Same for Panther, you need the latest release, 10.3.9, in order to receive the DST update via Software Update.

From the link provided by M A V I C:
[quote Apple]If you've not already done so, install Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.8 and the Daylight Saving Time Update.

You always need to keep running Software Update until it shows nothing more.

It's very Microsoft in that way.

After 10.4.8 there were a slew of security patches and other things. The post-10.4.8 updates were huge in size.

I'm still waiting for the Space Needle to crumple and fall as I was promised back in December 1999.

What elmo said; I find often that I will see updates immediately after running whatever's shown in update because something is a prerequisite.
