Insightful article on Apple's storefront success

Fascinating article on some of their decision-making that went into the decision to go retail. How they initially went into the idea, and how wrong it was. And then how they fixed it. Just amazing.

That is a very cool article

Saks generates sales of $362 per square foot a year.
Best Buy stores turn $930 - tops for electronics retailers
Tiffany & Co. takes in $2,666.
But at $4,032, Apple is eating everyone's lunch.

That's amazing.

My son REALLY needs a summer job as a Creative at our new store that opens in June.

I think it would be VERY cool on a college EE/CompE resume to say you worked retail as a Creative in an Apple store.

Are creatives in all stores or just the larger ones? I think that's a great idea that I'd like to take advantage of. Teach me how to do something. My sister-in-law and her kids would definately get use out of that.

Sam, their $99/year help membership is the best deal that Apple *ever* offered. I don't know how they can afford to do it for that price, but I've sent a lot of people to that membrship. Check out your local Apple store to see if they offer it.
