Another life event. Good, but bittersweet

I understand some of the feelings about this. My grandfather died about 45 years ago, my grandmother had passed a couple years before that. My father as only surviving child inherited the house his carpenter father built. But it was in St Louis, we were living in MA. There briefly was a possibility one of my brothers would relocate to St Louis as there were job opportunities in his field, but that didn't happen. So the following Spring Break I spent watching over my younger siblings while my father and stepmother cleared the house out for sale.

The house is still there, I have checked up on it through Google street view. No idea if the hand finished floors and trim inside still exist, but a owner at some point added a second floor to the craftsman house my grandfather put up with union brothers assistance.
