That's a pretty good one! (tu)

I spotted this earlier and saved it for Friday Funnies. The cartoonists are having a field day with these incompetent clowns.

But... but... the Orange One says that it wasn't anything classified!

So then... it can and SHOULD be released to the general public. If they're not willing to do that, then they have a problem.

the best summary I've seen

A person close to the White House was blunt: “Everyone in the White House can agree on one thing: Mike Waltz is a fucking idiot.”

When my wife and I saw an early interview after he took the National Security Advisor office that was our conclusion, as well. It's too bad he didn't have to be confirmed. Perhaps the Senate would have passed on him after to listening to him blather on about nothing.

I wonder if Goldberg has revealed, by showing Signal screen shots, all of the conversations he witnessed, would he then be charged with revealing classified material "that was never in the Signal app".

The last I saw, he said that IF he releases the entire conversation, it will be to the Intelligence Committee, not to the entire Congress nor to the public.
And yes, I believe that he would be charged with something if he shared the entire transcript. He said he is talking to "lawyers" [plural] about what he might do next.
he said there was the name of a CIA agent and of course you cannot release that name.

remember the scandal about Valerie Plame? Yeah, another GOP scandal

Yes, and thank you. I first tried to read it by DLing the linked file. That sometimes works but the formatting gets screwy. Your gift link is so much better.

Even still, Goldberg does not release the whole thing verbatim, and I understand his reticence. He'll go to jail. He says there are details, timelines, specified weapons systems, plus the actual name of a working CIA agent field agent. If what the Trump asslickers are saying is true, ie, no classified info, then let's see it. All of it.

The reason they are using the app in the first place is to avoid having their ugly braggadocio and fake piety become part of the National Archive.
