Canon inkjet has been problematic of late. Tried the windex trick, and got printer to print a few pages, then it went south again. More windex and deep cleaning cycles, now color is great, and black has completely vanished. Any way to fix? since we have lots of ink carts... or, Where to find replacement print head, since I cant find it on Canon's website? Thanks,
Buzz

it's an i455 we got w/ the MicroCenter iBook deal back when...
the odd thing was that after the windex prep, the color was spot on and the black was still goofing up, then unlike when it was resurrected in the past, several deep cleaning cycles [black only] seemed to have killed off the black entirely. $60 for a printhead seems kinda stout for a low end printer, but w/ cheap ink, it's cost efficient for most things. the i860 is costlier to operate, so it gets used for special occasions only; guess we may have to press it into greater use for awhile. any separate ideas for fixing the black, or is it maybe electrical as opposed to clogging, and/or is there any way to tell? black is currently totally non-existent.

How about deleting and reinstalling the printer drivers?... Looks like there is a new driver as of 01/2007...
