Ditto Mike Sellers...I have a few of their songs...but this is intriguing.

A Pumpkins song came on the radio this morning as I drove to work. It must have been a sign that I should buy this. ;-)

I've always liked the pumpkins, too.

Reminds me of my days as a high school student in Champaign, IL. There was a cool record store that was upstairs in some building and they had TONS of import stuff that you would never normally see anywhere. It was really cool. I was trying to be a skater punk at the time, and D.R.I. (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) and The Smiths, and The Dead Kennedys were what I thought I was supposed to listen to.

I'm buying it now, time to max out my internet connection one last time before I move.

I am a huge Pumpkins fan, have been for the last 10+, not to mention I am a rabid deal addict, and I have over $50 sitting in my iTunes account from various gift cards.

You could have done tons worse. Probably not much better.

not to take away from Apple or iTuMS, but you can get 320 kbps MP3s for FREE from Billy Corgan's own site.

and finally, 2007 Smashing Pumpkins news, including the new lineup of the band:

Bass player Ginger Reyes and guitarist Jeff Schroeder are the new members of Smashing Pumpkins replacing founding members D’Arcy and James Iha.

Reyes was a member of California punk band Halo Friendlies. Schroeder was a founding member of California’s The Lassie Foundation.

I'm a big fan, thanks for the heads up.

They didn't come to Australia much.

I did get to see them about 6 times though.

Those were the days.

[quote pRON aHOLIC]If it is a pricing mistake I will buy it solely on the grounds of getting a deal. Is it? ;-)
That's what I want to know. Most of their stuff was on Virgin Records which is part of the EMI family. If this isn't a price mistake or limited time offer, I want to wait until the higher quality (DRM free) version is available.

Of course, this could be part of a sinister plan to suck you in to get you to pony up the $.30 upgrade fee per song x 114 = $34.20 Smile

I actually got two of the tracks so I can get it via "complete my album" for $8.01 Smile

It looks like there are only 25 free tracks at billy-corgan.com, compared to the 114 on the apple store. Still free is a good deal, so I am downloading those too!

These aren't just rarities and b-sides. Some of them are big hits. Going to buy now...
