transfer of one user to another computer

i have a g4 733 tower running panther, i believe, and i want to set it up for my wife to use. currently she has a user on my g5 2.0 dual core powermac running tiger. can i just take her user folder on the g5 and drag it to the g4 over the network and everything will carry over?

The Applications will not come with it.

Fire up the target machine. Go to Applications>Utilities>Migration assistant and follow the directions.

Migration Assistant will transfer everything she'll need.

she's on 10.3.9, so it doesn't include migration assistant

Migration assistant was included with later disks of 10.3--I think 10.3.4 or 10.3.5.

It would not have been included with 10.3 that had been upgraded along the way.

I wonder if you could just take the migration app from the G5 and run it on 10.3.

Any reason why you are sticking with Panther on that machine? Tiger would run fine on it. And then you'd have the migration tool.
