TMO Motorola V195 (Bluetooth) $39.99 w/ $25 airtime
#1
For those out there who are T-Mobile prepaid users, they're offering the Motorola V195 for $39.99 (free standard shipping) along with a $25 refill card.

The V195 is a bluetooth phone and there are iSync plugins available out there.

They're also offering the $25 airtime card with any other prepaid phone as well. I currently have the Nokia 6030, which is a nice basic little phone - I wanted bluetooth so I could use my TomTom as a hands-free device.

I also have a Nokia 6030 (in fact two of them) and wish there was a way to sync some contacts once in a while (not very ofthen though). I am not really looking for another phone, but I might pick up this one if it indeed works with iSync and then use it to synk contacts to the phone, then copy to SIM and move the SIM back into the Nokia. will that work? this way i could sycn both of our 6030 phones with our laptops. That would be nice.

where are the iSync plugins, please?

Another stupid questions: can you use a bluetooth cell phone as a microphone/headphone with Skype? in other words, use the cell phone as a headset?

The iSync plug in can be found by googling for v195 and iSync

Update -

Got the phone yesterday. The first hit on Google for V195 plugin turned up a file that I couldn't get to work, so I used this one:

Syncs great with iSync -- although it's been about a year and a half since I dumped my previous bluetooth phone, and my address book has grown considerably. I recommend creating a group in Address Book and only syncing those names you'll actually call.

Also loving the ability to upload MP3 ringtones via bluetooth. My current choice -Will Ferrell doing his Robert Goulet impression in the sketch where Goulet is selling ringtones. Dingle-Donkle-Someone's Calling You... GOULET!

Change to the deal...

T-mobile has now changed their offer to $25 airtime card with SELECT prepaid phones, and the v195 and Nokia 6030 are no longer included.

I ordered mine on Monday, and did recieve the airtime card with the box my phone came in.
