crt to dvi-i converter
#1
Trying to buy online the CRT to DVI converter -- that's the six-inch cabel with two white plugs, one a 15-hole female (crt) and the other the DVI-i that came with both my G4 and G5s that you used with the old crt video cards to convert to lcds. Don't know what to call it to do a search. Thanks

The adapter that came with the computers actually goes the other way. It allows you to connect a VGA display (be it a CRT or LCD) to a DVI graphics card.

The adapter you describe (connecting a digital display to an analog graphics card) is actually quite difficult to do and costs $300:

They sell it or something similar on the first link as well.

The first link I posted was a DVI to VGA adapter. This is what shipped with the computers originally.

The second link is a VGA to DVI converter.
