My kids say there's 16" there at least. My son was amusing himself watching people trying to negotiate the sidewalks.

Just finished shoveling in sunny Brooklyn. Our city is not designed for snow. There is no place to place this much snow.

Suburban and rural areas can place the snow on non-essential places. We just sneak it onto our neighbors. It is survival of the quickest!

About ten inches in Baltimore, 20 inches in the suburbs. There is a distinct advantage sometimes to living in the city. I found it very easy to get around, but my power was out for 14 hours or so, which was a hassle. At least they got it going again before nightfall.

26 inches in Central Park, last I heard. I went out around noon (without mukluks) and took some pictures.
