1TB HD not enough?? RAID these babies!!!!
#11
Knock on wood here...I still have a faithful 750GB Seagate 7200-10 ATA/100 HD in a nice AMS Venus DS3 FireWire (Oxford 911-TQ-A bridge chip) case that's been performing backup on my DA G4/1.8Ghz DP (7448 NewerTechnology CPU) PowerMac for almost a year and I was told that *those drives* were junk back when I got stuck with it last year. So YMMV with virtually anything, I guess.:S

As for new technology, have 2 Hitachi 1TB SATA II A7K1000 Enterprise-class drives that I entrust with backup for my SeriTek RAID system, which really sounds weird to me as I write it...indeed, they do hold a ton of important data each evening at 2AM, and who would have thought I'd be doing anything like that 5 years ago, much less 20 or more when that ad came out!

I like to think somebody knows what they're doing rather than the opposite; the problem is determining who that somebody is.Wink

Well... I can assure you, I didn't write that ad!

But strangely, I was using a HeathKit at Purdue that year that ran CPM ... and --- WordStar!
