I know there have been a number of ongoing projects to get OS X running on plain vanilla hardware; here's another.

Has anyone successfully managed to do something like this?

Would this be a violation of the OS X software licensing agreement?

Tens of thousands of people.

...and if you build it yourself, you can get the price down closer to $3-400.
