There has been a number of posts this last week on digital frames. I have been looking to get one for the holidays, but there seems to be very few reviews (or rather varied opinions on Amazon) on which brand to get. Given Costco's return policy, I decided to purchase the Pandigital 10.4" frame and see how it performs.
The frame is very sturdy and has a substantial feel to it. The picture is very vibrant and clear. My wife, who has gadget allergy, was very impressed. The set up is quite easy and shows up as a external HD when you connect it to your Mac via USB. You can just drag and drop photos and music. The frame also has the random slideshow option although the randomness is not so random at times where I will get the same picture displayed more than once in a short interval. It also has an energy-saving option where you can specify how many hours you want to frame to display until it shuts down completely. The only problem I've had is that I can't seem to get the right file format for video. I converted my QT video to AVI, but it would not play.
Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and will get a couple more for families over the holidays.
