iPhone question

I have a client that is considering an iPhone. He would like to transfer pictures from his camera to the iPhone, without using a computer when traveling. Is there any way to do this?

If he goes to a drug store with an online photo-publishing service, he can then access the photos through Safari.

Something like Kodak's PhotoNet. But it depends upon finding a PhotoNet-friendly kiosk or a similar service.

I don't believe he can do it without a computer. Usually a camera uses a USB cable to transfer pictures and is not compatible with an iPhone. I tried an iPod Camera Connector on my iPhone but it won't work either.
Apparently you can only use iTunes to transfer photos, so I guess he's going to have to take his laptop with him.

As I suspected. Looks like he won't be getting an iPhone at this point. His goal was to downsize/consolidate.

what kind of card does the camera take?

although expensive, have you seen the SD (and i think CF) cards that have built in wifi?

No card. No removable media. It has to sync through iTunes.

And the camera kind of sucks. 'Won't take video, either. 'Needs a flash.

Waiting to see what the February API release brings and then the 3G and 2.0 edition... and then probably 3.0 and 4.0 before it has the features I'm looking for.

That's an odd deal breaker. Wanting to transfer photos from digital camera to a phone directly. "Well then, I don't want the phone then". Just goes to show people have specific expectations from their portables that other people wouldn't even imagine.
