MacZot has a pretty good deal on Freeway Pro today. Don't shoot the messenger if you don't like the program...discuss it if you like. Smile

Freeway Express is $59.00 today.

OK. I have iWeb and just got Rapidweaver from the MacUpdate promo. Do I really want this one? Is Freeway Pro really that good? How does it compare to Dreamweaver?

Big fan.
If you use Quark, it is very intuitive.
Great Price.

i've been using it for years so Freeway's usability range is from pros to amateurs. if you're comfortable with Dreamweaver, it would probably be redundant from what i understand. but if you wanted something as versatile as DW but easier to use, then FW is your answer. there's good customer support and a very responsive user support forum. if you go to Softpress's site, there's a page where links to sites made with FW are posted.

this is a GREAT price for this software.

freeway is not template based like iweb or rapidweaver -- you actually build a site from scratch

ive been looking at this myself for a replacement to iweb

rapidweaver seems to need too many add ons just to do the basics -- like draw a box -- which even iweb does

now off to check the pro vs express options

for the $40 price diff, i'd go with Pro. there are some actions that don't work with Express that i find useful.

Nice app for building sites from the ground up. Not nice at all for trying to make changes to a site you've built elsewhere. Worth $100 though.
