Will the "External MacBook Air SuperDrive" be available as a separate purchase?

I know a few people who would love to add a USB-powered Superdrive to their non-superdrive system, esp a USB-powered one that's Apple-branded. It appears to only be an option for the MacBookAir, though.

I'm sure it will. There will be plenty of people who buy the Air but not the Superdrive and decide they need one later.

There are plenty of ext. superdrives at OWC that are frankly much better.

jaygime, I have one of those. It is indeed great. But not having one of the Apple ones in your hands, and running it through its paces, how can you say any of the others is "much better"?

would be nice for those with a mac mini that only have a combo drive if it's the same size.
