Update: Canon accepted my camera for free repair
#1
Just to let everyone know, my A75 will be repaired for free. It seems there are many models that qualify for this.

It must be an easy repair; I would expect replacing to be cheaper.

What was your original problem? I have an A80 that's acting up - replaced it already with a 570 on sale, but if I could get it fixed without charge, I'd go for it. Mine is showing lines across the LCD and in the picture - sometimes the LCD is dark too, as is the picture.

Sounds like the very problem that is covered. Contact Canon soon before they cancel the program.

Canon took in my i960 printer, out of warranty with nothing but a phone call.
