I think it's the 4th season we're watching (Presbo is a school teacher), but I can see this season ending tragically. I'm not sure I can stand to watch it if it goes down the way it looks like it will. kj.
Tell me the 4th season of The Wire doesn't end bad

The 4th season ends brilliantly. You won't be disappointed.

I have a tough time watching that show.
Any and every second, I expect something really, really bad to happen to the good guys. But it's great show. And I like the guy from Homicide who plays an editor at the paper. You newshound types-- what is his official title? Like I said, great show, but I keep waiting for the other shoe. A really, really big shoe.

Yeah. "The Wire" is a show where you do a lot of worrying. I'm surprised that my favorite character "Omar" has lasted this long.
The show is so chockablock with outstanding performances that it's kinda staggering in it's scope. It's always funny to see one of the characters who feel so real on other shows.

That's exactly it, except now it's kids. I don't like seeing violence against kids. But I can't stop watching. It's really a flawless show, at least to me. I can't think of anything that is done poorly. And "Omar". How do they make him likable? It's amazing. Thanks though. I'll keep watching without worrying so much. kj.

I will tell you that they understand how you feel about the kids. Randy reminds me of myself in Junior High School. I had my mother, but I used to sell candy and my sister's unused "lunch tickets" to other students. My best friend's father used to always call me a scoundrel because of that (which I never took personally).

That's awesome. It almost seems that a person can relate to pretty much all the characters in one way or another. kj.
