Useless Poll #512: Do you wear a watch?

[quote mattkime][quote BigGuynRusty]CellPhones, How Rude!
Thats the first time I've heard cell phone rudeness extended to simply looking looking at the device!

Then again, the boring, long-winded old man is probably still frightened by this confusing new technology. Frightened? No, in fact he is the one that suggests new stuff, and keeps up on all the new tech.
Confused? No, read above.
Boring? Absolutely not.
Old? No, mid 50's.
Brilliant surgeon? Absolutely.
Rich? Hell Yes!!

I wear a watch when I go out, because I'm certainly not about to drag out a cell phone every time I want to glance at the time. There's no need to wear one at home.

I don't think I'd want anyone analyzing my choice, either, thank you very much! This was a really nice looking Pulsar, in its day. Unfortunately its day passed a while back, but it keeps time, and that's all that matters. Smile

Not any more. Stopped about 20 years ago. It was always a pain finding a reasonably priced all stainless case wristwatch, otherwise my sweat would just tear into the metal of the case. My father has the same problem, so I probably inherited that trait.

Last straw was that I found wearing a watch was aggravating carpal tunnel problems on that wrist as well. For a while after I stopped wearing a watch my job had me on a pager, so used to use that to keep track of time. But I turned that pager in when they laid me off from that position. They wanted me to keep it, but my position was if they were not going to pay me to be on call, I was not going to keep the pager.

Yes.

Without a watch I'd never know what day it was and whether I have to wander into work that day or not.

I'm currently wearing one of these:
